Things to Do in Munds Park
Relax in the pines of Munds Park, Arizona
Things To Do
We’ve hosted guests at Deer Run Retreat for years – here’s what we actually send people to. Munds Park is small on purpose: a pine-covered mountain community at 6,500 feet, 25 minutes from Flagstaff, without the crowds.
Area Attractions
Pinewood Bar & Grill is the community's gathering spot for a relaxed dinner. Kota's Coffee House pours the morning coffee, and Borracho Saloon & Taco Truck handles tacos and a cold drink after a day on the trails.

Sedona
Sedona (about 40 min): Slide Rock State Park, Cathedral Rock, Pink Jeep Tours, and tasting rooms like Decanter - or let Arizona Winery Tours or Sedona Wine Tours do the driving.

Grand Canyon (about 1 hr 40 min): close enough for a day trip to the South Rim - leave by 8 and you'll beat the tour buses.
Jerome
Jerome (about 1 hr): Arizona's famous ghost town - take the Ghost Town Tour, browse the galleries, and enjoy the cliffside views.
Get Outside
The Iron Springs and Janice Place trails start right in the neighborhood - easy pine-forest walking with frequent elk and deer sightings. Odell Lake sits at the heart of Munds Park for a quiet stroll or a fishing line. Off-roaders: Munds Park is one of northern Arizona's favorite ATV basecamps, with forest roads in every direction - Flagstaff ATV Rentals will set you up with a Polaris. Pinewood Country Club's championship golf course is the green heart of Munds Park (private - members and their guests only), and AZ High Mountain Trail Rides runs guided horseback rides through the high country.
